The APCO internship is designed to give interns a valuable educational experience, with exposure to a wide range of client work. While APCO interns are encouraged to develop their interest in either public relations or government relations, they will gain exposure in both practice areas. Outstanding interns may be given the opportunity to transition to permanent, full-time employment. The following are specific duties assigned to interns and are performed on a daily basis:

• Drafting reports for projects
• Project execution support
• Creating and updating lists and information involved in account activity
• Documenting and tracking of account activity such as conference reports, account status reports, etc.
• Other similar duties as assigned

Requirements & qualifications:

Education: Bachelor or master’s degree in progress, preferably in journalism, advertising, political science or related fields

Experience: Relevant internship experience preferred

Core Skills:

• Strong research and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with and interest in the Chinese political and economic environment
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as to work independently
• Able to balance multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; 

Languages: Excellent written and oral communication skills in Mandarin and English required

Candidates should be able to commit to a full-time internship for 3-6 months, but the weekly hours can be negotiated according to the candidate’s academic schedule.
