Responsibilities:
1. DEVELOP CHINESE SPECIFIC PRODUCTS
Help product project manager to drive specific product development in coordination with Quality team & Product Development team in Paris and China. (follow up each project’s retro planning by respecting all critical paths)
Work close with Sephora operational team to create products in line with China consumers
Feed with good Asian cosmetic market knowledge to ensure relevant product developments for Asia Pacific consumers (competitive study, cosmetic market sensitivity, consumer insight…)
Develop edge-cutting training kits with training department to maximize supports to daily sales of beauty advisors in-stores
2. FACILITATE GLOBAL PRODUCTS DEVELOPMENTS
Be aware of the western cosmetic market needs to identify and truly understand Asia Pacific market specifics / gaps.
Give regular inputs to Product Development Team in Paris about project developments (concept, ingredient story, marketing claims, textures evaluation, packaging analysis…)
Work hand in hand with Sephora China merchants based in Shanghai, South Asia team based in Singapore and S+ support team based in Paris (Global marketing, Packaging studio, and Development Global team, Regulatory team) to ensure global consistency of AP projects.
3. SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
For Chinese suppliers:
Close and efficient daily communication with suppliers (regular conf calls, clear project follow up by supplier) to ensure on-time product launches
Guide suppliers to optimize quality and level of service by constantly training them about our strict processes and rules
Ensure margin target per each project via tactical price negotiation
Ensure on time and good quality delivery
Maintain and review CN product database in coordination with brand and logistic team for accurate MOQ / Cost adjustment
4. NEW PRODUCT POST-DEVELOPMENT FOLLOW UP
Provide qualitative and relevant training materials to China team to support excellent product knowledge transfer from HQ all the way to stores.
To promptly follow up / analyse sales performance of new products via sales reports from Category team. To identify improvement areas / best practices for each project.
5. . INNOVATION SPOTTING
Identifies and feeds AP market trend and innovation to S+
Sources new product ideas and new trends in pack, formulations
Shares with S+ and AP team and integrate them into concepts
Requirements:
- Can work 4 days a week for 6 months
- Good Communication Skill
- Can be on board asap
